Humboldt
county Department of Health and Human Services and the Mental
Health Services Act is presenting a FREE SCREENING of "THE
SOLOIST" at the Arkley Center for the Performing Arts,
412 G Street in Eureka CA on Saturday May 1, 2010 at 12 PM.
The doors open at 11am. There will be a panel discussion following
the film. They are looking for volunteers for a variety of things
to do, so for more information, please contact Joan Levy at
707-441-5545 or jlevy@!co.humboldt.ca.us. This is in conjunction
with Arts Alive which will spill over into Old Town. Activities
will continue into the evening downtown with entertainment and
booths of all kinds.
MAY 11TH: The
walk for Mental Health will be held on May 11th, starting at
720 Wood St. at approximately 10am. A Proclamation will be presented
to a representative from the NAMI-Humboldt Board that morning
at 9AM in the Board of Supervisors chambers. A reading of the
proclamation will be at noon on the courthouse steps.
MAY 14TH: (Friday)
A BBQ and pot luck will be held from 11am- 2pm at Sequoia Park.
