NAMI - Humboldt Meetings

NAMI PROGRAM May 6th,2010

A review of the Mental Health Services Act Draft Plan will be presented by Jaclyn Culleton, project lead, from the local Mental Health Branch. The plan has evolved from the voter approval of prop 63 in 2003. It addresses prevention & early intervention, workforce education and training, outreach to rural areas, cultural differences, transition age youth, and more.

The program will be held at the Professional Building at 507 F St. in Eureka, at 6:00 PM on May 6th. Nami-Humboldt ( National Alliance on Mental Illness ) seeks to support and help educate families and people whose lives are affected by mental health issues. NAMI Humboldt Board meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at 824 Harris (corner of J and Harris) from 5:15 to 7:30 pm..Health and Human Services Building

County Mental Health Board meets the 3rd Thursday from 12-1:30 at 720 Wood St
Support Groups.

THIRD THURSDAY of each month, we hold an informal "Caring and Sharing" format, when we listen to & learn from each others' concerns

CARE ..Client Advocate Recovery Empowerment client run group meets EVERY TUESDAY from 12 Noon -2 at the Humboldt Bay Water District at 828 7th St in Eureka

BIPOLAR SUPPORT GROUP Garberville: A NAMI SOUTHERN-HUMBOLDT group meets the FOURTH-THURSDAY-of-the-month, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Hospice House, 464 Maple Lane, Garberville. Details: Lea at 845-3233
